Life's a journey and a story. At school they thought I was a linguist and yes, I love languages but I'm passionate about communication and commercial success. After university I thought I'd work in travel to use my languages but realised my passion for communication and economics meant marketing was for me, and surprisingly I started in financial services. If you really get communication, love people, understand your target audience and enjoy being creative then the product could be anything. Now with over 20 years of card and consumer finance marketing experience, both in the UK and across EMEA, I still get that spark and I've had a great time meeting some fantastic people and gaining great experience across: Brand Building for established and new FS brands, including the UK's fastest growing credit card, Goldfish Marketing communications, Card rentention and Card acquisition - for UK and global brands PR and Media Relations including reputation management and communications Relationship management - negotiating with airlines, hotels, other sectors across EMEA to drive revenue Internal communications and event management to drive engagement Acquisition - managing significant budget (£10m +) across all channels Advertising - from radio and press to TV and digital activity with multi million pound budgets Profitability of affinity card programmes Consultancy projects to drive revenues and reduce costs
